This year's PTA Reflections program is currently underway! The Reflections program provides a great opportunity for students to think outside the box, be creative, and flex their artistic muscles. Each year, the program challenges students of all ages to create works of art that relate to a theme.

This year's theme is "Diversity means..."

There are 6 categories for artistic works: literature, photography, visual art, musical composition, dance choreography, and film production. The works are judged by independent professionals, and awards are given to those entries that stand out from the rest. However, each child is recognized for participating.

Have you joined Gill's PTA yet?

Gill's annual membership drive is underway and we STILL need your help!! When you join the PTA, you are not only helping the school, you are helping your child. Gill's PTA provides the financial and volunteer resources for our school to provide your child with enriching activities - social and academic.

Dues are $7 for an individual and $10 for a family. Click HERE for the membership form

Please note: when you join the PTA, your family will receive a copy of this year's directory. The directory is a great resource since it provides teacher and classroom contact information for the school.

Thank you to all who made our Gill 2011 Fun Run a success!

It was chilly with blue skies on Monday and everyone reported having a wonderful time.  Here are some informational tidbits:

• We raised close to $16,000!
• 245 students turned in pledges of our 540 total student body – that’s 45% participation!
• Of the 245 students that turned in pledges, 46% met or surpassed the $75 per student goal!

Thank you to our volunteers, reward sponsors, staff, parents & students for working together to enable us to move forward with much needed and planned educational events for our students at Gill during this academic year!
