Supplies
Farmington Public Schools provides all supplies and materials necessary for your child’s successful school experience. Our experience shows, however, that students will produce better work and treat materials with more responsibility when they voluntarily furnish some of their own supplies. If you prefer that your child have his/her own supplies, we suggest the following:
· Family sized Kleenex box
· 2 Glue Sticks
First Grade
· Generic baby wipes
· Family sized Kleenex box
· Crayons (16 count)
· No individual pencil sharpeners
· Markers
· Pencils
· Erasers

Information regarding school closings based upon weather conditions
Whenever weather is an issue, the District’s superintendent participates in a conference call with other Oakland County superintendents and an area meteorologist to discuss weather conditions and options. Each district makes their own school closing decision based on local area conditions. As soon as a decision is made, it is communicated to all.
As with other school closings due to weather, we advise parents to tune into TV-10, check the District’s web site or to be sure to sign up for your school(s) and District list servs. As always, school closings will also be shared with local radio and television stations.
